EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapeutic technique designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma and distressing experiences. By using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps reprocess memories, reducing their emotional charge and allowing for healthier emotional responses. It is commonly used to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, and trauma, but can also be effective for managing stress, grief, and other emotional challenges. EMDR aims to help individuals gain relief from painful memories, promoting healing and emotional resilience. EMDR can be effective in helping to treat a variety of issues.

Individual therapy sessions are conducted virtually, either via phone or a secure video platform. Typically, these sessions last 50 minutes, with the final 10 minutes reserved for the therapist to plan for the next session or handle administrative tasks. Sessions can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your goals and the therapist's recommendation. If desired, longer sessions of 75 minutes can also be arranged. For EMDR therapy, the same scheduling options apply, with sessions often extending to around 90 minutes, based on your needs and the therapist’s guidance.
